I will approach the role of Union President with fresh perspective, having admittedly not followed augmented paths to running for the role but instead transferring my unrivalled passion for student life into becoming ambassador and spearhead for moving the union forward.

Community Relations should be prioritised, co-existence with local residents must be achieved for a free-fest finishing after 6pm and a Fresher’s ball and AU ball being held outside. I want to bridge links with the constituent colleges so that they know that this Union exists for them, they have representation, a place to go for advice and the building to enjoy. I want to battle the university on the increasing cost of in halls accommodation, where students after their first year don’t have the option to choose between living on campus or in houses in town due to financial issues.
